Hi,

I'm about to attempt to replace the bearings on my AEG washing machine. It's an ÖKO-LAVAMAT 1271 TURBO (Sensortronic).

Does anyone know whether I can get to the bearings from here, or whether I need to remove the cast iron spider?

Thanks a lot, Leigh

You need to remove the cast iron spider (good luck),the bearing thats visible from the back isn't the main bearing. There is a larger bearing and seal at the drum end of the spider.

Thanks loads for that, didn't want to take it all apart to realise I didn't have to! I shall give it a go over the weekend. Fingers crossed.
