Air Lock?

Bled Part of system down to replace motorised valve, tried to refill, but no joy. Expansion tank not emptying, no air noise when trying to bleed system through. Any suggestions much appreciated.

OOOHHHHHHH!!!!!! you probably have a blocked pipe where the feed meets the rest of the pipework. Unfortunately surgery is usually the cure. You do have the valve lever in the manual position?
