Hi,

I've got a mid terrace house with double bay windows, around 1900. At the bottom of the windows are two original airbricks.

Behind one of these was some blown plaster. So when I removed the plaster I found a hole behind the airbrick.

I have solid concrete floors in this room so is the airbrick from when they originally had wooden flooring? Is it okay to cover over the hole and replaster.

The damp, I presume it was damp, has dried up and it's not spreading.

Any ideas?

Ventilation dannyboy2k i think. if the room is ok for air and no probs with damp then yes cover them up but if you want air into the room why not put 2 plastic or metal hit and miss ( open or closed ) vent covers over
