hi
hope sombody can help with a problem with my combi, just had a new divertor valve kit fitted to cure low dhw temp, this is now fine however if c/h is running and dhw is used it takes several mins once tap is turned off before heating fires up again it stops fan and is pretty much just turns off,no lights on front to say a problem, have changed the thermistor with no change ,it does eventually come back on but it used to be near straight away.hope some alpha guru can help.regards Neil.

Lot of these defects are due to lack of proper service as prescribed by the makers

hi
thanks for reply, the boiler has had regular services ,and does work well just a reluctance to fire up c/h after dhw run,fan ect shuts down but as soon as it runs pressure switch clicks in and off she goes, its just a long delay of perhaps 3 mins,it should be sooner i believe, have had a new thermister as prev stated but just the same, any more ideas, thanks again Neil. : :?

One might question who fitted the diverter valve repair parts.

The first thing to check is if the DHW demand switch is really returning promptly to the rest position.

If it is then I have encountered a problem with the anti cycle circuit on that model which does not time out. I would love to have enough time to investigate the exact cause so that I could repair the PCB when appropriate but unfortunately never seem to have much time. Nor does anyone else get interested in the detail of boilers who will tell me.

Tony

many thanks for your help, the divertor valve was done by service eng,and the switches for both the dhw and the c/h do pop up and out almost, immediately, the thermistor i fitted after been shown by eng which bit it was ,so it would appear all mech parts are working ok which to my limited knowledge indicates a sensor or as you say timer circuit,if it keeps working which nothing shows it wont is any harm likely if i just live with the 3 min delay or is it likely to pack in altogether.thanks again for help.Neil. :?:

hi sorry i forgot to ask is the timer circuit on the main pcb board or is it seperate, thanks again.
