Help, C heating fine, I get hot water in bursts, it runs hot then cold, then back to hot. I can get a sink full of hot water but no chance of a bath!

Possible blocked plate heat exchanger or faulty HW sensor

Thanks, Flow rate of water seems fine, it hasn't changed from when it was working OK. Is the sensor an easy fit?

Partially blocked heat ex does not affect the flow rate coming through the taps it there is 2 circuits so to speak one that goes through the boiler and transfers the heat into the water passing by to the taps.If it gets up temp then cuts off after a few mins then cycles like this it is probably heat exchanger... Sensor takes 5 mins to fit and usually shows by more rapid on and off

Hi, Thanks for the info. Does this mean the end for the boiler or can the heat exchanger be cleared/descaled?
