I have an Alpha 280e which has suffered from all the usual problems, noise (like a jet aircraft) sticking diverter valve, duff thermocouples etc, but it has recently developed a new problem which I have not seen mentioned.
In hot water or heating mode all will be well but for some reason after it shuts off (normally I think) it will not reignite. Fan is running, pump is running, demand light are on, no warning lights or reset light but it will not ignite ....... unless you give the control panel a little tap.
Once you do this, and it really is a very light tap with one finger on the outside of the panel, the spark generator can be heard and it lights straight away.
An anoying inconvenience really but one I would like to sort out. Anyone else experienced anything like this?
