Any help appreciated..........
Started with losing water. Tightened leaky valves and checked over for no obvious leak.
Spotted CH pressure release valve was dripping outside so I replaced.
Other morning I got up and found the boiler running at 3 bar with water gushing out of relief pipe!
It was suggested thet I turn off feed and return valves to the rads and drain boiler. Remove CH expansion vessell and re-pressurise to 0.8 bar which I duly did.
Cleaned the primary pressure switch as well because this was not clicking in until 3/4 way up the green band on the pressure guage.
Cental heating now runs at 1.75 bar with no loss of water. Only problems i've got now is cleaning the pressure switch made no difference, but mainly when the the hat water begins to heat, either with the CH on of off, the boiler becomes very noisy for a few seconds and a gushing of water is heard. All the radiators have been bled It sounds like air I don't know how to get rid of it from the water heating side of things.
My old boiler lasted 18 years with no problems hardly, but since we had this thing, nothing but problems!
Any ideas what this might be and how to resolve would be most appreciated. I'm pretty gain with plumbing and DIY but not CORGI or anything like that.
Regards Ray
