Hi all, first post...
I am a gas registered engineer and was looking for some advice on fault finding on an Alpha CD35C.
The customer had a leak on the boiler and had a friend (also an engineer) look at it. he changed the pressure sensor as this was the cause. another leak appeared a few days after the repair and, as the previous engineer is now on holiday, a plumber fixed the leak (PRV). Once repaired, he couldn't get the boiler to fire. The customer then contacted myself.
On start up the boiler tries to go through its sequence, pump runs, fan runs then one of two fault codes appear, D is continuously green and B flashes red. Or D is green and A and B flash red simultaneously.
I have checked pressure sensor, flue sonsor and overheat stat for continuity and all are ok.
When fan runs there is no power to spark generator.
Suspect PCB but feel free to post any suggestions...........
Cheers
