Hi there,

I have a wireless thermostat currently connected to my water underfloor heating system in the kitchen and i want to replace it with the Nest E. The mains supply and pump are connect to the wireless receiver as per the photos.

Any help on which wires I need to connect to the Nets unit or need to terminate would be v helpful? Thanks in advance.

Al

PS Photos below, the grey cable is from consumer unit 240 power and white cable goes to the pump. the thick wires in the terminal pic are from the consumer unit and the thinner wires from the pump.

Two blue wires in N should be isolated and not connected to Nest-e. Although they do need to remain connected together, so a new screw connector tucked out of the way to contain them would be ideal

The brown wire in L goes to Nest-e 'COM' [Discard the loop between L and 1]

The brown wire in 3 goes to Nest-e 'NO'

The two earth wires should not connected to Nest-e. Although they do need to remain connected together. So again, a new screw connector tucked out of the way to contain them would be ideal.

The bottom cable should not be hanging free, it should be secured with clips or enclosed in trunking to prevent strain on the wiring terminals.
