Any one tried one of these for perforating paper?

Hence I wanted to see if ayone has used one first.

Sadly festool don't do cheap.

I have used a paper tiger for years but it does produce quite a bit of dust and there have been one or two occasions where it damaged the plaster, albeit very slightly.

There have also been times when the serrations on the paper tiger have not been deep enough.

Your right they dont do cheap, on saying that you only get what you pay for, and with the name festool behind it I dont doubt it will work.

I often have cause to use such a product and I just might give this one a try.

Glad you posted the link.

I love festool but unfortunately so does my overdraft.

Yes I know what you mean, I have a feeling that the next year or two are again going to be hard, even harder perhaps than 2009. Not the ideal time really to spend more than you really need to.

Is it not the same as a hedgehog only better made and dearer.

HI,

I thinks so,that hedgehog roller is with pins and it is nice to use...

Not particularly cheap (10 times the cost of a paper tiger) but at-least you don't need to climb a ladder.

The product description is perhaps misleading as it says it removes the paper as well...

Anybody seen one in action?

The question is: How do you control the precission of the method from the distance?? I mean that your hand takes one side of the "FAKIR" and the end is too far from your hand, so It could be hard to get a good both visual and manual aproach to the wall and therefor, a perfect finishing.

what do you think?

Hi Maltaron

The holes allow the steam from the steam striper to get under the paper to activate the glue

Hi Aretha

I am guessing that the cover will prevent damage to the coving or skirting, if that is what you mean. Given that the primary purpose of the tool is to make holes in the paper accuracy is not critical
