I've found a couple of products online that claim to turn soil into a suitable sub base by mixing 1:10 (not sure if I'm allowed to mention them: "Instant Sub Base" and "Perma-Soil") and wondered if anyone has heard of or tried them?
If it really does eliminate (or at least reduce) the need for skips to dispose of spoil and buying bulk bags of hardcore, it sounds almost too good to be true?!
I'm considering it as a sub base for a garden patio.
