I posted this in the plumbing section as I know loads of you will be scrabbling around under the rafters. I was up there today sorting the water tanks out in my g/f house and came across this......two small low voltage wires coming out the bottom of it. Any ideas please and thank you ?

It’s for sharpening 4 pencils at the same time whilst working in the loft

in the loft means it is difficult for an intruder to find and disable it. The loud noise is supposed to make them feel uncomfortable.

I have a similar one on the top ceiling so that people in the bedrooms will be awoken if the fire or intruder sensors cause an alarm when they are asleep behind heavy sound-blocking doors.
