Mrs Secure was watching DD in a pub in Manchester with Jim (www.easylegs.co.uk) who has invented, patented, & manufactured trial versions of a new landing legs system. It's quicker and safer than what's in use at the moment, and he has carried it every step of the way.

They billed him as a "confusing inventor" and he got about 90 seconds, and they left out all the good bits, such as Duncan Bannatyne saying "just give him the money, Hilary"! Hilary didn't seem to get it, though.

Did anyone else see it?

I saw it, the concensus was he was charging too much for them retail.

Not practical in the haulage game. ie they only have one set position up/down. useless.
Just copied off the idea of a skele trailer.

I don't think it said what he was charging for them retail. Hilary said he was asking too much as an investment.

You're welcome. I was beginning to think the link couldn't be seen as no one seemed to comment on it.

Doesn't look a bad idea. Would work best with air suspensions on the unit and probably over 90% of lorries on roads today are air suspension.

Without watching again, i`m sure she said haulage firms work on tight margins so the costs were not low enough to make a profit ( or something like that) And she made her money iin haulage. If she cannot see a profit then who cannot?

I have only one thing to say about Dragons Den:

YOU MAKE MY FOOT ITCH
