I really can't be bothered. I've seen almost fifty years of politicians come and go and basically they are all money-grabbing t**ts, so I for one will not be venturing out in the rain.

It's only the local elections though. Round our way the local Labour Party are trying to fight it on national issues, instead of focussing on local issues. Even had Milibland and his sidekick round here 3 times trying to drum up support, mentioning cutbacks ect. Local Labour chaps have already promised to raise council tax if they get in. I just hope they fail miserably.

Thats the whole point about our so called western democracy.
years ago you voted politicians in based on their manifesto. ie what they were promising to do for you once in power.
Now we don't even get proper manifestos just a couple of soundbites like 'education'or 'immigration'. No suggestions of how to achieve these vaque 'goals'.
But even then once in power they neglect everything they promise..
So in effect what actually does democracy mean in real terms now in the Western world...
It in effect means that the general public get to swap one bunch of self serving liars for another.
If you would get any pleasure from kicking out one group just so you know they wont be earning any money for being self serving hypocrites then fine go ahead and vote but don't expect that things will actually change for the better for you.
I say reinstate the Monarchy , at least then we get to chop their heads off...
and to think we have been starting wars and killing people to bring this wonderful 'democracy' to them...

Oh and i hate that weasel livingstone! Its a shame that it comes down to who makes you laugh to decide who gets my vote, but to be honest it wont make no difference to me personally who gets into power, same **** different person!

Pred, I swear I nearly p****d myself at that. Had a look round the site and the story about Gloria Hunniford and Aled Jones fronting "Hash in the Attic" was excellent too. 
Unusually we haven't had any political junk mail for a few weeks so completely forgot about it!
