Are the border force and the RNLI losing their touch?

I think pretty much everyone in the country is p!ssed off with the small boats situation. Same across the EU. The issue about us having to have a passport whilst they don't is one of the more minor things to worry about, though.

Why don't we make them all illegal immigrants? I don't think that would go down too well with those entering legally, but it is certainly a novel idea. Good one.

What doesn't add up? It has been suggested a good deterrent would be to stop assisting the boats. The consequence of that is some boats will fail and sink. The consequence of that is people will die. Men, women, children.

How many such deaths do we deem 'okay' to stop any more following? 1? 10? 100? 1000? More?

Nope, that's not the point in the context of this discussion. They are already on the boats and heading here. Yes we can discuss all day long the rights and wrongs of France not stopping them, or the migrants choosing to leave a safe country.

However, once they're on the boats and headed here, I wouldn't support us offering zero help to them once they're in our waters.

It'll be a dark day for the UK if we ever get near supporting such ideas.

Deterring the crossings, will, in the long term, reduce the loss of life. The safer we make the crossing appear, the better we treat them when they arrive here, the more will be tempted, to try it, the more deaths there will be. It's a vicious, self-feeding circle.

Starmer is responsible for not doing anything about it, other than paying France Millions of Pounds to increase French Policing of the Illegal Migrants only for the French to aid the Illegal Migrants to get here....................which is logical because they want rid of the Illegal Migrants.

And before him it must have been all the various Tory PM's.

It really isn't a recent issue, it's just that the right wing are trying to pretend it is all the fault of labour.

They (labour) have the poisoned chalice right now, and must take their share of responsibility, but I do wish people would look at how long it's been going on, and how no previous Government got to grips with it at all.

Labour need to make some advances and quickly though.

That appears to be your only argument for anything and everything that is an opposing view, when in fact a large majority of the Left show support and indeed help finance Hamas, Palestine Islamic Jihad, Hezbollah and the PLO who are all Islamic Terrorist Organisations who openly preach and quote the Quran and Hadiths stating that they intend to Irradicate all of the Jews...............So how come you call those in the Middle or on the Right Nazis, when it is the Left who are the ones actually supporting the Islamic and Nazi Ideology.
