What doesn't add up? It has been suggested a good deterrent would be to stop assisting the boats. The consequence of that is some boats will fail and sink. The consequence of that is people will die. Men, women, children.

How many such deaths do we deem 'okay' to stop any more following? 1? 10? 100? 1000? More?

The reason there are hardly any women is because the majority of these males are of Islamic origin and do not consider the women and children as being as important as the majority of European males would and the lower position of women and the rights of males to beat and indeed rape them is written into the Quran, Hadiths and Sunnah which contain the writings of Mohammad who is considered to be the man all Muslims should look up to and live by the standards that he has set.

It really isn't a recent issue, it's just that the right wing are trying to pretend it is all the fault of labour.

They (labour) have the poisoned chalice right now, and must take their share of responsibility, but I do wish people would look at how long it's been going on, and how no previous Government got to grips with it at all.

Labour need to make some advances and quickly though.

If you had read my 1st post I stated that Starmer was at fault because he had done nothing about it except pay France Millions for doing diddly squat, if the man had a back bone he would have removed Britain from the ECHR which is more interested in the rights of the criminals than they are of the rights of the victims. So try to trivialise something when you have been told the truth and it doesn't agree with your opinion. Opinions are one thing but it is Truth that matters, so have a hard think about that.

That was twenty years ago under a Labour government. The small boat problem started under the Boris Johnson government. This year is looking particularly bad, but 2022 was also a very bad year.

Of course, no level-headed person would disagree.

However, the rhetoric from Reform et al. is intentionally designed to direct peoples anger at a relatively small group of people. I'll say again, with the assertion being these people are a main cause of our economic ills, which they're not.

There's no balance, which again is intentional.

Farage was on a news prog a few weeks back going on and on about the risk if migrants. The presenter said along the lines of 'yes, however we have our own home grown troublemakers as well.'

You could just tell that Farage didn't want that sort of question. Doesn't fit the narrative. So he somewhat reluctantly said along the lines of 'ah, well, yes, we do indeed. However ...'

Imagine a future where your great great great grandchild is seeking refuge in a foreign country, instigated after the collapse of the UK. No legal routes out were available.

He/She is on a boat headed for the shore of said foreign country.
The boat is struggling under the weight.
Surely the country will assist, seeing those on board are in trouble.
Nope. They sit and watch. They do nothing.
Your grandchild thrice removed drowns.
They're dead.

I prefer to think that countries will rescue migrants if need be, however backed up by an extremely robust processing system.

Imagine a future of living under an Islamic Caliphate with Sharia as the Law, if you are white then you will be subject to a death penalty or slavery, any women in your family will be considered as prisoners and can be raped, sold or killed at will, so don't expect any of your grandchildren to survive if this were to occur. I am not saying that all Muslims would be like this but they would also be subjected to these Laws and would be punished or killed if they spoke out..................................it is a Silence that allows this sort of thing to occur, it is happening in several Muslim Countries right now and it happened in Europe, in Germany with Hitler which led to a World War and the systematic murder of Jews, Romany, Homosexuals, Disabled people and many other groups
