Some speed cameras are in accident locations and therefore when my warning device goes off I am reducing speed, therefore making that dangerous stretch of road safer for all around me, as those who do not know the camera is there carry on speeding.

Let me introduce you to Plan B: STICK TO THE SPEED LIMIT.

That I do, on the whole, but its supprising how often you get someone driving closer to your back bumper than the highway code recommends! (perhaps sooner or later someone doing this will have a lapse of concentration and write my car off for me - but alas, no, its never the cars you dislike that morons wreck, its always the nice ones they run into!)

Perhaps it was better 15 years ago, when drivers would do 34mph in a 30mph limit and keep up with the traffic, and we had real coppers with a sense of realism and judgement to enforce the laws, rather than a machine with a radar and a roll of film!
