Ariston Combi A Series Boiler CH fine but no HW please help.

Hello all this is my first post on this forum so I hope someone can help and please forgive any indiscretions.

As above I have an Ariston combi A boiler which is running my Central heating fine but not producing any hot water. it kicks in when the tap's turned on but then seems to stop and start or run at a low flame and the water stays cold.

I've checked the most recent error codes on it and it seems they are 18, 4 and 2 (which I think relate to Flame Lift, No Flame, Pump Protect)

any advice on what the problem would be and If I could fix it myself?

Flame/combustion problems are not a DIY fix, you'll need a RGI.

Fair point, I was just wondering if it could have been something else as the CH works fine.

Since the error codes relate to flame faults thats the most likely cause!
