Artex ceiling repair

I have a swirl pattern artex ceiling that needs a bit of a repair due to water from above. Its not a substantial area, just about 6" x 4'.

Is it a matter of scraping off the effected area and applying/patterning new artex?

Which brand of artex and pattern tool should I invest in?

Just buy some ready mix artex and use a stipple brush. You can put the artex up with a brush quite thick and then blend in the swirls with the stipple brush. A measure of the current swirls will give you the size of the stipple brush to buy!
