Anybody able to advise what might be the best product to cover this staining which has now properly dried out. I know there is something called StopStain and also Zinssers. Any advice much appreciated.
Zinsser Bullseye 123 two coats i coat dries in about an hour water clean up brilliant stuff!
Use the same applicator (brush, roller, pad) as you intend to use on the finish coat.
If the stain is grease-based (eg tar) Zinsser Coverstain (yellow tin), or oilbased undercoat, is probably best. Otherwise (ie water-based stains) the 123 is fine.
