B&Q Mono mixer tap leak

Hello.
I've attempted to dismantle the tap to remove and replace the cartridge, but have been foiled by the absence of the hex nut I was expecting to see holding the cartridge in place.

The photos show the stages. Does anyone have any advice as to how to access the cartridge please? Does it merely need pulling straight out or does something need to be loosened first, and if so, what?

Just pulls up after removing that chrome cap, doesn't it? I assume you have turned the water off - if so, cover it with a towel and briefly turn the mains back on.

Quite possibly screwed in, large adjustable wrench or water pump pliers.

That squared off outer plastic ring, with the blue part inside, is a screwed ring. Unscrew it with a large spanner and the cartridge should pull out.
