[b]Worcester 24CDI not heating water[/b]

Can anyone help me my father has the above combi boiler and when he switches the water on the water is hot then it goes warm after about 30 seconds. He has also mentioned the central heating light does not go out when the hot water comes on which the manual said it should turn off.
Is this something to do with the electronics or is the three way valve playing up?
Any help please.
