Hi,

I've just had a letter at work from the local water supply company about a forthcoming inspection.

The building I'm in is late 60's early 70's and doesn't seem to have check valves fitted to the toilet cisterns or any of the taps, will double chck valves need fitting to these?

I do have a piece of equipment that is connected to the mains water (it trims plaster mouldings and uses water to wash away the plaster dust) at present this has a double check valve fitted, after reading the regs it looks like aq RPZ will need fitting.

Are RPZ's expensive? And who can fit them? I don't intend on doing the work myself but I can't get any idea of cost when googling.

Any help appreciated

Mixer taps may require check valves.

as for the equipment best to see what they say first.

Last RPZ I fitted was around £200.00

Wc etc should e ok if they have the BS ballvalves with an air gap.
