In last 3 month the boiler in my flat has been getting noisy, sometimes it is fine and on most occassions, after it has fired up and you hear the "Bumpt" that means the waters heating and then 5 seconds or so later when it has nearly finnished you here a sort of banging and "taft" noise for a couple of seconds coming from it. It is like there is air in there or something. This also sometimes spits water out the tank in the airing cupboard.
My flat is on the market so I dont want to spend a fortune but I dont want the banging to put anyone off, Can anyone put my mind at rest as to what it is and how to stop it?

Anyone who has an idea please let me know, I would be very grateful. The boiler is about a 12 year old glow worm if that helps?
