Can anyone recommend some simple CAD software that is easy to use, that is not costly, to produce simple A4/A3 plans of buildings.

Basic CAD software for building plans- any recommendations?

I know it sounds obvious but have "googled" for free CAD software.
For what you want to do there will be a few packages around.
If you want layers, with electrics, plumbing etc each on their own layer then that's a bit more complex.
I use AutoCad but there is a cost to that.
