I need some advice please with regards to different pipe connection methods. I am installing a new basin and intend to have the 32mm waste running to a WC/soil pipe boss. This piping will then be boxed in.

My questions are:

a) What pipe joining method is most reliable – solvent, compression or push fit?
b) I will likely need two 90 degree elbows close together – would this pose a blocking risk?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Excellent, thank you.

Would you be able to advise on whether I would need a AAV / Anti-Syphon trap? I have a through-wall WC waste pipe and the Stack itself is vented.

I would say solvent, but if you have two 90 swept bends, you won't usually have any problems with blockages. If in doubt change the lower swept bend for a tee and glue an access point in one end for rodding.
