Hi in the process of a bathroom refit at the moment. I need a solvent weld 32mm waste adapter thingy to fit the 32mm from the basin trap into the 4" soil pipe. The new basin is going in the same place as the old, so the same hole etc will be used. Measured the old 'plug' it is 34mm OD and my 32mm pipe is 36mm OD. So I believe I need to put the end of my 32mm waste into a reducing coupler thing. Sorry I dont know the correct terminology! Can someone please point me toward the right part? Thanks

What is the current arrangement? Is it a plastic stack or other material? I cant think of any adaptor to adjust the size by 2mm.....

Its plastic and runs in the concrete screed floor. I'l try and take a photo of the old one and post it here...

Should just require a new boss adaptor, thats assuming existing hasn't been solvent welded in. Photo would help, cheers.

Took the old one into a plumbers merchant this morning and they found one! I think it is a boss adapter, Hugh, Thanks. It took them a while to work it out tho, surely this is quite a common fitting?!

Boss adaptors are very common. Usually taking along the old part makes life a lot easier as the supplier can see what you need!
