Good morning all.

Just wondering if there's a standard height for a bath to be installed at?

I need to fit a new bath for a friend whos builder hasn't shown, but she has no bath panel at the moment, and I wouldn't want to install it too high or too low.

any pointers greatly appreciated.

Regards

M.A.

550-560mm to the top. Perhaps better sourcing a bath panel first and use that as a guide.

Fit waste, turn bath upside down. Fit trap. Measure height of trap outlet.
Compare with height of the waste pipe you'll be connecting to and allow a cm or two of slope.

This will give you your minimum bath height.

Panels can be trimmed.

depends on the panel, if it’s plastic for an acrylic bath.
theyre normally 525 or 540mm from the floor.
That’s from floor to the lower part of the rim that runs along the edge.

and no you can’t cut the panels with any degree of success. they’re crap to start with , cutting them renders them almost unuseable.
