Bath Mixer Tap Shower Lever Loose

The lever to redirect the water from the taps to the shower head is loose. I have taken the screw cover off, removed the screw and tried to pull the lever off but the lever won't come off. I don't want to try too hard in case I break it.

I'm assuming that there's a rubber washer in there somewhere.

Any advice would be appreciated.

If you have removed the screw it will pull off the splines. Use some WD and prise it off with a large flat blade driver or something.

With a bit of wiggling I managed to get it off.

It looks like a brass pin has broken off.
Can you get a replacement part or do you have to buy a new tap?

Is the brass pin a screw that hold the lever or the spindle ?

This part is a Diverter.
