Morning all,

as part of my bathroom revovation, Ive decided to fit new wastes, the old ones were regulary slow to drain/blocked.

Questions.

1 - what gradient should i put on the pipes?

2 - should i run 3 seperate pipes, or join say the bath and shower, or join all 3?

3 - I read somewhere that you shouldnt run a pipe for more than 2m, however the shower will need at least a 3m run, is there anything i can do to make this drain easier? or overcome this problem.

4- When joining the pipes, do i need to use anything on the joins? silicon? somekind of jointing compound if so which is best/

5- Any other considerations i should make before tackling this.

Cheers

Andy

Use solvent weld to bond the fittings to the pipe,

when running waste pipework more than 2m, just up the size of pipe to the next avaible size,

i wud advise 3 seperate, but it is ok to mix bath and basin, but try running the shower waste alone.
