bathroom light

could anyone advise me as wto where i can view a diagram of wiring for a bathroom lighting circuit that operates an extractor fan aswell.
a friend of mine had a bulb go in his bathroom and for some reason he said that all the wires had come disconnected from the rose. he put them back where he thought they went but says the fan works ok but the light doesnt, most of the wires are black. i have a fairly good basic knowledge of subject but just want to make sure. i havnt seen it yet but am going to,
the house is fairly new

Have you looked in the For Reference section? there is some amazing stuff in there by some hard working people. Shame to see it go to waste.
