I'm a novice DIYer living in a rented flat. The bathroom sink needs a splashboard. What is the most basic solution? I'd prefer not to have to splash out (groan) on a drill unless I must.
Agreed its really up to the landlord, but if you are going to tackle it...like said it could be as simple as three tiles, maybe some edging strip if you wanted. Measure up and get the right size tiles and it can be done without any tools! But edging strip would need something to cut it (craft knife etc), but it could look good without edging.
Yes as beef stew said, really down to landlord but if tackled yourself, 3 tiles, some adhesive and some grout and some sealant and probably a sealant gun too. And written permission off the landlord too (technically). Take photos before and after at least as well.
Single 600mm floor tile. Tile shops will sell a sample tile for a few quid.Squirt a bead of silicon around it, simple and difficult for a novice to get wrong.
