Hi All.....

Where should the bath and basin water go?
I ask this because at the moment ours runs outside to the guttering and when we take a bath, all the soap bubbles spill out on to the patio :(
I know this is wrong.
We do have another drain outsite where the kitchen water waste drain in to.
We spoken to a DIY friend who says that because our stench pipe runs through our bathroom and down throuch our kitchen, we could have the bathroom water waste draining through that.

This would be a better solution, as it would mean that we wouldn't have to have an extra downpipe outside.

So, is it ok to drain the bath and basin water through the stench pipe??

Thanks in advance :)

Yes it is normal to do this. :D
You will need to purchase a strap on boss to connect to the soil pipe (you may need 2 if you cannot connect the two together without problems).
Hope it is not a cast iron pipe though

I'm not sure what the pipe is made of.

I'll ask him to take a look at it. Would it be more difficult if it were cast irion?

Thanks for the help!

You will need to drill a hole approx 50-55 mm diameter in the pipe.
It is a lot easier to do plastic than cast.
I believe you need to drill tiny pilot holes around the circumference.
Good luck ;)
