I have a Baxi 100 HE heat only boiler. It was recently serviced exacltly as per the servicing instructions, but since then every time the burner lights it makes a very loud bang and the case shakes.
When it was serviced the Burner assembly and the Central Insulation Panel were removed to enable the Heat Exchanger to be cleaned.
Any one got any idea what might be causing this problem.

Thanks for the advice. I've ordered a new electrode kit. I,ll let you know if works.

Could be one of the models with the fragile gauze, or ignition pressure too high. Not sure if that is separately adjustable on this one though

Electrode kit replaced. No signs of tracking anywhere but it's still banging on light up.

combustion chamber seal might cause explosive ignition but I doubt it

normally they cause the fan protection stat to trip when they fail.

Still say get your RGI to look at the burner for any damage (if is the fabric one it you would be well advised to change it anyway)

Also get him to check that the jumper that stops "soft start" is not still in place on the Right hand side PCB (sorry I forget what it is called  )
