Baxi 105e constantly on

I have a baxi 105e. I have noticed that when I go for a cig outside that the exit exhaust is always making its usual noise when on, but it never goes off. This alerted me to the fact that the boiler is constantly running.

Have turned it to hot water only and still the same. Turned the pre-heat dial all the way to off and still the same. The radiators are also luke warm even though the boiler is set to hot water only. I have checked the presure and its within normal operating limits. The hot water light comes on when it should do, but when it goes off the boiler is still on and the presure does not drop as you would expect.

Any ideas of something to try before I call someone out?

Is this boiler behavour dangerous?

check the pin that comes out and hits micoswitch on HW demand is returning to rest position after use and not still activating microswitch , or faulty micro switch

Thanks for that, it makes sense and would explain all the boiler symptoms. Its not something I want to try myself, so I will concede and call someone out to it. Cheers for the help, its much appreciated.
