Baxi boiler ,flame failure

we have a baxi 105 HE bolier and the boiler lights up for about 10 seconds then goes off, the flame failure light is on as well
can anyone shed some light on why this is happening??

It seems that the pcb is not detecting the flame.

Assuming the flame is actually lighting either the flame detection electrode is not giving the required signal or the PCB is faulty.

A common fault with this model is the gas valve settings need adjustment.

All these are likely to need a competent CORGI engineer.

Because reverse polarity in the electrical system will prevent the boiler detecting a flame.

1. Reverse polarity as already stated
2. Does the flame when its on for 10 seconds lift of the burner

check the top of the condensate trap for water in the resevoir at the top, as this interupts the flame sensing.

or flue fault, flame lifting off burner (as stated by poxi)

or reverse polarity caused by recent electrical work, or been installed by a numpty who is colour blind.........

or gas preasure adjustment, but this is normaly only the minimum gas preasure, so would only cut out on c/h, as it will fire for more than 10 seconds on high flame for hot water.....



or of course it could be the pcb, but my money is on the trap overflowing.....
