Baxi boiler hw no ch

Boiler is producing plenty hot water, heating was working saturday on timer when I came home heating wouldn't come back on (first time using heating on timer - just moved in, boiler about four years old). My brother (electrician) checked in case hall thermostat kicked boiler off but he said thermostat is talking to boiler. On control panel have a green light for power, green light for hot water when tap is run but nothing happening with ch. Any ideas?

Have to guess as you have given zero description of your system!

Possibly motorised valve motor not working.

First check for dripping hot taps anywhere - that would stop your ch working.
