Hello all

I have a problem with my Baxi combi 80 eco boiler. Every time I use the selector switch to select either hot water only or central heating/hot water, the boiler (hot water and central heating) is constantly on.

So every time I need hot water, the central heating will also be on. So far, I have had an engineer replace the PCB, selector switch and the whole diverter valve assembly unit with brand new units. But the problem is still there.

Does anyone have any good advice? I would very much appreciate it.

Regards

Phil

When you select hot water only on the switch and no taps are opened then the boiler should do nothing. If when you open a hot tap the boiler fires and the rads get hot then you have a faulty diverter. It also appears that you have employed a parts changer and not a good boiler repair specialist.

microswitch on divertor at front sticking and boiler thinks there is a hot water demand
