baxi genasis 80

Hi i went to a boiler today in work, a baxi genasis combi.
Hot water seems to work but no heating. Fan pump ect all work ok .
Burner lights for a 30 second ish then all the green temp lights light up and it shuts down due to over heat. flow and returns cold but warm to boiler to bulk isolation valves.
i have taken the ch flow sensor out and inspected and it seems very worn.

Any ideas off you baxi chaps who see them every day would be a good help.

i dont know these boilers but it sounds like a diverter valve fault.

Divertor can jam on these, however I have never had the pleasure of doing one and I am sure having looked it would be a nightmare.

I am sure however that there is a flow filter on the return to these boilers in the isolation valve that may be choked.

The newer version certainly has one.

Worth a look.

cant be as bad as the hydro block iv got in the morning (glowworm 30cxi)

This is the same boiler as the C&M and it will be the return filter blocked.

Its carefully hidden away inside the return valve. You will find it eventually!
