Baxi HE 33 Duo-tec boiler pressure

Hi all,

i've recently taken off two rads in my living room to decorate. When I re fitted them I topped up the pressure and and released the air out of the rads. When I went to top the boiler up again it will not work.

There are two black valves at the bottom of the boiler and a small piece of pipe between them. I open both of the valves fully to increase the pressure but now it wont work.

Is this the correct way to do this?

Any ideas?

These filling valves have a tendency of failing.
Is the pressure rising when you open them?
If not a warranty call out will replace it.

Do you have any fault codes showing?
Have you reset the master control knob holding it anticlckwise for a few seconds?

The fault code for low pressure was shown when I re-filled rads. This cleared when I topped up the pressure. The pressure dropped again when I bleeded the rads to just below 1. I decided to top up the pressure up to 1.5 but it would not fill when I opened both valves.

There is a small flat headed screw on the bottom of the left valve body. I don't suppose this will have anything to do with it?

The boiler is less than a year old so I think I will call the manufacturer.

there is a silly little plastic check valve in the filling loop which has a habit of sticking; remove it and it'll fill up fine.

With the valves open give the larger one a gentle tap this contains a non return valve they sometimes stick
