Baxi instant 105e combit boiler automatic vent

i was just wondering if someone could confirm to me as to wether the automatic vent should be always left open or closed after instalation as the service manual does not mention about closing it only opening ? I was wondering if this is why i sometimes hear a kettleing sound from the boiler.

Auto air vent should be left open by a half/1 turn.

kettling may not be associated with air in system. Could be other causes

Thanks for that i just checked and it was closed, opened it slightly and heard a bit of air escape, i've left it part open.
