Hi Guys/Gals

The boiler is approx 4 to 5 years old

Bit of a strange one for you heating works fine, hot water however works fine too but as soon as you mix the hot water with the cold water the boiler turns off but then as soon as you turn the cold water off the boiler fires up for hot water..

So basically hot water on its own is fine but if you find it hot and want to mix it with cold it turns the boiler off, its the same problem at the bath tap, sink,basin and shower mixer never had this problem before always worked fine.

Any help appreciated guys

Touched any stopcocks or noticed a general reduction in water pressure? Have neighbours had any problems with their supply. Deffo a sold supply problem IMO.

Thanks for the reply mate, Nothing has been touched no neighbours with any problems either, it seems to me as if when the cold water is turned on it seems to over power the hot water and knock it off if that makes sense to you.

i agree with 45yearsagasman, you've not got enough pressure to work both taps, measure the flow by filling a litrs jug at the sink tap over a minute, you'll need at least 13 litres a min,

Thanks for the reply, but this problem was never a problem before, if that is the problem what may well have caused it? No recent works have been carried out
