I had a powercut recently (involving a toaster) and im fairly sure that is what's caused this. The heater as it is switched on by the plug makes the click that im used to but absolutely notthing else, no pilot light, no indicators, no fan comes on and therefore no hot water!
Had it serviced this time last year and is due for another now-ish, but surely that can't be the reason that it's completely roggered.
If anyone could shed ANY light on this it would be helpfull as the british gas is taking its time to get here.

Thanks

If you are competent to work on 240VAC electrics, then you need to test if any power is getting to the live and switched live at the boiler.

Could be an external control fault.
