Hi, could anyone help please?

The boiler won't ignite.
The fan light is on and can hear it running
Nothing else appears to be happening
I've tried switching it off at the mains etc.

As you may had guessed, not a plumber or anything like that, but have a basic knowledge.

Is there anything I should be looking out for ?
What are the possible problems?
Thanks,
Andy

I havent seen one for a while now but from what I remember make sure pilot burner and area is free from debris.

PCB's go on these fairly often

Air Pressure switch and venturi are the first thing to check in that situation more or less regardless of which boiler it is.

unlikely, the pcb would be giving out an audible spark, and the next neon would light

"PCB's go on these fairly often "

err ... yes they do, second only to Suprimas for us ATM

probably, but Solo 2 fan bearings are about as reliable as the pcbs, and while it could be turning, it might not be generating sufficient pressure

Thanks for the help guys, have a good idea of what to expect now. Corgi registered plumber coming to look at it tomorrow.

Much appreciated
