Bdr91 to single channel hive

Hello

I currently have a Honeywell bdr91 ( wiring pic attached). I want to connect a single channel hive to my combi boiler. Glow worm ultimate 30c.

Please could you tell me the wiring. Is it a straight forward swap.

Yes wiring straight forward. Copy L to L, N to N, link L to Common (1) and put A into 1 also and B goes to heating on (3)

...just to add, the BDR91 appears to be daisy chained between an FCU and the boiler.
The green/yellow earth wires must remain connected together and can be placed in the Hive backplates earth terminal.

There is a bridging wire between the two L terminals is that essential I read somewhere that it is not necessary. Please advise.

No, it's not needed on the BDR91.
Only one link wire will be needed for the Hive receiver - between L and terminal one.

Ok
i have removed the bridging wire between the 2 live terminals...
I have not connected the hive yet
The system is all working fine at the moment
question is....when i do make the change on to hive and if things go wrong can i reconnect my bdr91 back in and turn the boiler on and off by connecting the A and B wires..?.just need a safety net in this cold weather ....
