Sorry to hijack your thread mate, but I was thinking the same thing.
I have not done any formal training in electrics, but would consider myself quite cabaple as having run a few ring circuits, lighting etc as well as never taking shortcuts (sticking to the book). However I am thinking about cross training (from IT) so I have something to fall back on. As I do actually enjoy it.
Any ideas which way I should go about it?
