I am replacing the Speed Tacho on the above model. I believe it is common with many other models and makes. The magnet fixed to the end of the motor shaft is cracked and in 2 parts. Can I just glue it back together ? It is complete with ne chips or missing bits.

Don't really know the asnswer to your question but I would think that glueing it back on would result in your having 2 smaller magnetic fields and suspect they may not be strong enough to operate the sensor. If it's one of these they seem cheap enough to just replace.

jj4091, The problem is that the magnet is moulded onto knurling on the end of the motor shaft. It is not possible to replace it with another. I guess it is moulded in place during manufacture. I would need to replace the whole motor. I will try gluing before going down that line. I have already sent for a replacement Tacho coil.
