hi,guys, I'm new to this site, looks really good! My problem is in trying to start up my heating furnace, equipped w/ an '86 Bentone FC4A burner(Suntec pump), after a year's idleness. Fuel atomizing but not igniting, or rather, igniting intermittantly, chuffing like a locomotive, and filling the room with partially burnt, atomized fuel. What am I forgetting to do?

sorry, was called out. Yes, double checked that just now. Also, when starting, ignition clicks on and off.

hey, help! Still can't get past the on-off-on-off chuffing stage. It's getting cold in here!

Have you checked the oil pressure, Fuel quality (water). combustion head etc?

Pull the connector out of the solenoid coil, take the burner off, and check to see if there is a good spark.
