Hi all,

I have a LED strip to install in one of my kitchen cabinets. I have the 12v LED driver which is powered by an adapter which I need to plug in somewhere close by.

I have the supply side of things sorted- it is just where to mount the socket. I am guessing a surface mounted box somewhere high on the wall behind the cabinets to plug it in? Can the cable then just fall behind the unit if I have a side entry back box?

This solution just seems a bit untidy hence why I thought I'd ask if there's a better way. The only other option I can think of is hardwiring but is that possible with a 12v adapter? The hole on the side where I have circled is the cable entry point for the driver which will then sit inside a very small cabinet in the top corner. I can't really install a socket outlet there as the cabinet back is only 6mm ply.

Thanks
