Had a problem with boiler losing pressure then suddenly it began throwing water out from the top, water entered parts of the electrics but was still actually working when i quickly turned it off at the mains, a gas fitter friend came next day and fitted a New Pressure Relief Valve said he thought this was the problem, told me to let the electrics dry out and try it again, i bled the pump got the air out and fired her up again, hot water is fine as good if not better than ever but no heating at all nothing happens when i switch to heating always on, there was water in the timer clock which i dried out and squirt with WD i can hear it ticking but its not starting the CH , could it be just the clock?, is there a way to bypass the timer switch just to see if i can power up the heating, don't want to spend money on a new clock if the boiler is knackered?
